BrüMates are made from 18/8 stainless steel, which can be rather cold when sitting at room temperature. To combat this, we recommend preheating your BrüMate to prepare for your warm beverage. 

• To preheat, carefully fill the BrüMate with hot/boiling water. When you are ready to add your warm beverage, discard the hot water. Your warmed BrüMate will assist in extending the longevity of your hot beverage’s temperature.

If you typically add cold cream/milk to your warm beverage, we’d recommend warming the milk before adding it to your BrüMate to extend the longevity of your hot beverage’s temperature.

If your beverage is too warm, leaving the lid unlocked and open for a few minutes will help cool the beverage down. We do not recommend adding ice, as this will likely expedite the beverage’s cooling process.

If your BrüMate is not retaining ice, this may be due to the amount of ice being used inside the BrüMate. We recommend filling the BrüMate at least 50-75% with ice to guarantee temperature retention.

If you’re using less than 50% ice, the ice inside the BrüMate will use its energy to cool down the rest of the drink inside. By the time the drink is cooled down to reach equilibrium, there likely will not be much ice left. However, the BrüMate will maintain the temperature of the cold beverage inside.
